Winter Project: ’55 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint
This jewel is another Alfa from a recent stash found by intrepid car-finder Daniel Rapley. We had the pleasure of a personal tour of all of the cars, some already spoken for, and Daniel got most excited by this early Sprint. The Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint started as a stop-gap model until the volume sedan was ready to launch. In 1954, Alfa Romeo commissioned Nuccio Bertone to create the coupé version of the new 1300 with a plan to build a 1,000 units. But at the Turin Motor Show in 1954, 700 reservations were booked.
