We don’t need to talk too much about what a 356 is so we can get right to this one. First, it is an auction with the 1st bid set to be $75,000. They got that bid so the race is on. Here is a really beautiful 356C with a scant 22,000 original miles. It has just returned from a long term storage facility and made road worthy by the current owner and seller. It looks great in the photos and the interior is exceptional in real factory leather. The exterior is a color change to Ivory from Slate Grey. The seller, a Porsche aficionado, thinks the new owner might want to return the car to the original color. Read More

This one is hot off the presses! We just got word that a very early ’67 912 has made its way from California to Connecticut wearing only the black plates it was born with. This one we really like partly because we know the seller and partly because it has these really neat vintage wheels with some serious spinners for good measure. This is another nice 911 Coupe in Bahia Red with black vinyl interior. It is in Missouri and that is the “show me” state. We would like nothing more than to have the seller show us this one. It is a 2.4 CIS late model 911 and that is one of our favorites. We can’t argue that Bahia Red is a nice color either. It was stored for 10 years until the current owner bought it in 2009. He recommissioned it with a marque specialist so it is in good running order. Read More

It seems everyday we can find a really nice or exceptional early Porsche 912. The pre-1969 editions have a shorter wheelbase than later cars and are known for their “lively” handling characteristics. Lively is a polite description. When the Targa was released in 1967, it came with these soft rear windows. Removing it provides a near convertible-like experience. Read More

Such a potentially nice car with such poorly thought out photos. A parking meter…really? We usually punish a seller by refusing to post a car that is not properly presented. But this is a very intriguing 911E that left the factory wearing silver paint and sports a sunroof. Silver is such a great color on an early 911. Many white or brown cars have been changed to silver. If you are smart enough to consider this car and go about the straight forward renovation, you will be rewarded by owning a rare silver A Coupe with red interior and a sunroof. You just don’t see them that often. This isn’t much to look at right now but the body is said to be fairly straight with nice factory gaps all around. It obviously needs to be stripped and repainted and who knows what surprises lurk beneath the primer. A good PPI will help ease your mind. The difference is probably pretty subtle but we’ve never seen a Dalmation Blue 911T before. It is a respray of the original color and looks pretty good in the photos. The interior is tan with cloth Pepita inserts. That adds to the uniqueness of this neat Coupe. Read More

Here is another well-kept California early 911T. This one is a Targa of course and that will appeal to those who enjoy semi-open air driving. Others will probably gravitate to a Coupe because it is just a little bit stiffer with slightly sharper handling. We wouldn’t notice the difference but some do. We have a real fondness for a nice Porsche 944. Trouble is you rarely get to see one that is well cared for or hasn’t been tracked to death. The seller is willing to part with this beautiful Bahama Yellow 912 Coupe. Bahama Yellow is one of those great Porsche colors of the late ’60s and we don’t see many of them in this kind of condition. You don’t need to have an early 911 (pre-1973) to truly enjoy what it is like to own a special Porsche. That is what is terrific about these cars. They are durable, long-lasting when cared for, and a blast to drive. We are confident that if we said your new company car was a 1983 Chevrolet Caprice you would be pissed. But a 1983 Porsche is a different matter all together.
