We thought we would contrast the classy, original Land Rover Series 2A in original condition with a challenger. In this case the challenger is a fully restored Toyota FJ40. Here is another car that has stayed in the family since it is new. In this case, a 1948 Buick Super 8 Convertible. These are so Buicky and cool. What a face with that huge chrome waterfall grille. Here is another really nice potential heartbreaker – a Citroen DS21 in a really nice color combination. The DS21 is an incredibly sophisticated vehicle that requires a high level of dedication and competency. This 1960 Lancia Appia GTE Series 3 Zagato Coupe is a rare bird. It is powered by a narrow-angle V-4 engine capable of producing 60 horsepower. There is a four-speed manual transmission and four-wheel drum brakes. We like MG TFs and to find one that hasn’t been taken apart for restoration is quite simply amazing. The TF, launched in October 1953, was basically a facelifted TD, fitted with the TD Mark II engine, headlights faired into the fenders, a sloping radiator grille concealing a separate radiator, and a new pressurized cooling system along with a simulated external radiator cap. The 4/4 version of the classic Morgan roadster was or is powered by a Ford 100e, 1,172 cc, 36hp side-valve engine and a 3-speed manual transmission. But the previous owner came to the rescue by professionally installing an MGA, 1,500 cc, 78 hp, OHV engine with a MG 4-speed gear box. The most beautiful car ever designed looks good as a race car too. Today’s featured Jag is similar to the one we featured last week. Although this one is capable of being driven on the street. Wow! To be honest, we don’t know how truthful that statement is. It has a cut-down racing windscreen with no wipers and god knows what else you need to drive on the street. We have to say this looks to be one of the prettiest early Guillietta Spiders we’ve seen. We don’t know for sure, but hopefully it is an original color combination for this car. It has one originality strike against it because it has a 2000cc Weber carb engine upgrade. So maybe who cares what the color is, the originality damage is done. Read More

Okay, so nothing is perfect except maybe this Volvo 122S. We are no strangers to the 122S and this one just has no weakness that we can see from the detailed pictures. The light green exterior with dark green interior was quite popular back then. The seats look great and were years ahead of other car seats of the period in comfort and support. The B20 engine is durable as ever and coupled to a 4-speed plus overdrive and you have a great highway cruiser. Read More
